For Me For Once

I have this friend that told me that in some ways we are alike. We both tend to get joy from helping others. In addition to that, we tend to put others before ourselves. This is especially tied directly to be in a relationship with someone. During the course of this year, I have found myself wondering why I haven't done certain things that I wanted to do. Why I no longer invest my time in the activities that I wanted to and still want to participate in. What I am about to say is not blaming anyone else because I take responsibility for my actions. However, seeing how I put my focus on my significant other at the time, I did things that she wanted to do, or I wouldn't do certain things because of how she felt about it. She wanted me to leave Columbus because she wasn't "happy" and that I could find another job because I am in "IT." Not to mention she had a job here as well. So she wanted to move to her hometown because it was "better." I said no and I never heard the end of it. But what does this all mean?

Basically, you have to have that alone time sometimes to work on your career. To do the things you need to do that you don't have to worry about what another thinks. As my friend would say, "an unapologetic Me!" So, I don't think I have ever really done that and it's never too late so I am going to start now. Seeing how I don't have a girlfriend, now is the perfect time. And until I finish, I might not have one. The time is now... wait. The Time is Me!

  1. It's all about taking the time for yourself and when you do you will appreciate it because you got to know your natural self and others will attract to that alone when you are ready. Someone is waiting for you out there.
