So, I mentioned I read this book. I am applying it to my everyday life. It takes a lot of practice and hopefully a lot of it will become natural. But just me saying that I am a "better" me doesn't actually help a lot of people. Here's something that I always believed. People will tell you anything. Some of it is true and some of it isn't. But actions speak louder than words. They will believe you once they see it in you. Some of my co-workers and friends have noticed the change while others haven't. I've told some people about it and they most likely don't believe it. There's no reason for me to get mad because I probably wouldn't believe them either at first. But if it is shown then i will.
Here's the kicker. Only when you have an open mind and heart will you truly accept that someone has changed. You may see them do one thing and that doesn't really count. But if you see a constant effort and you still don't believe, that means you REFUSE to believe it.
So you have to show what you mean in actions and open yourself up to accept this change.
