Sometimes, we have to do things we don't want to do. But, it's for the best. If you don't give a little you can't expect to get anything in return. Think of it this way. I guy holds a gun to your head and tells you that you can either get shot in the foot and walk out the door or stay here and see what happens. Which would you choose? You are not
guaranteed anything if you stay. In fact, in this case, you are more likely to die if you stay. Why risk it that much? I say, take the shot, get healed up, and live your life. Yeah. You were shot but you are alive to see another day. Sometimes we have to shoot ourselves in the foot anyways to realize what's going on. To help us "wake up.
Although I don't particularity like country music, this song's pretty good. I think the "guy" in it just shot himself in the foot and woke up.
